Slipknot bracelets

I thought i would try my hand at slipknot bracelets! Super fashionable at the moment and so easy to make!

For my craft fair on Saturday I have made some waxed slipknot cord bracelets.

Using some cute owl beads I created this bracelet- which Is already sold to a friend!

I plan on using some alphabet beads too, using mottos and names to personalise.

All will be available on my etsy site if interested.

Wedding invite design

20130331-132119.jpg

Some friends of mine recently got married and asked me to make their invites! i was thrilled to help!

As a wedding gift to them I designed these A5 hammered cards. Using wave scissors for the corner to create a quality look, double sided sticky pearls and teal bows for embellishment, they worked perfectly with the bride’s and bridesmaid colours.

I made over 80 double sided invites including RSVP’s in the space of 3 weeks and enjoyed every second!

Memory gift box idea

This hamper is full of next and Ted Baker girly baby goodies….i decorated for a friend who’s sister is due any day!

After she supplied the gifts she wanted to give, i arranged in a pink memory box, i decorated with cellophane and a huge pink pull bow.

They were going to be given in carrier bags, but instead this memory gift box filled with baby pink goodies stood out from all the rest at her sister’s baby shower last week. I was pleased my itchy creative hands could help 🙂

Handmade baby hamper gifts

Hi all!

It has been a while since I blogged…since becoming a mummy to my gorgeous little boy Rivers in January my time is very full!

However lots of my friends have joined me on my quest of parenthood and my gifts to them so far have been hand created.

Just like these little hampers…

My crochet challenge

As tweeted a few weeks back I really want to learn to crochet (well!) by the time our little one arrives around Xmas.

Although I have quite a few months, I thought I would start early and get practising.

With encouragement from my mother in law, I have been practising some of the beginners techniques and found them quite relaxing!

I would love to make a few things for our little bubs, so hopefully this will give me the determination to keep learning!

I will update with progress of my challenge and any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Polka dot swap by popular crafts

I enjoyed the last swap by popular crafts ( union jack) so much that I decided to sign up for the polkadot swap!

Using spotty ribbon and my nana’s help to crochet a flower I made this corsage for my swap partner. Adding pink beads for decoration.

Hope she likes it!

Gisela Graham creations

A lovely patient at work kindly gave me a bag of Gisela Graham fabric this week.

We got talking some months back about crafts and handmade creations and she promised to bring me some over-stock (as she is moving house and needed the space).

I was blown away by the generosity of her offer and made these corsages with some of material she gave me!
